Implementation Questions

What do I do First?!?!

It's Ok, you do not have to be a professional choreographer/Producer/Coder to implement the programs. The first thing you should do is check out the Parent/Teacher resource videos with Prof.Ex (Not a real doctor).

Which is the best way to use the website?

There are a few ways to get the best possible results from the website and its content. If you are using the video library then the lessons are best viewed as follows: Warm-Up, then any lesson module other than Livestreams (Hip-Hop, or Pseudo-Ballroom), and finish with a Cool-Down.

If you are watching a livestream then everything is built in, nothing else to worry about.

What is the difference between a Dance Module and a Livestream?

Dance modules are bite sized dance lesson that can be mixed and matched and are intended to be used as quick supplements to existing Physical Education Programs. If used in the aforementioned order then the run time will be roughly 30 minutes.

Livestreams are either 30 minute classes with an instructor in real time (Live), or a recording of a previous live-streamed class. Both cases run 30 minutes and cover a warm up, a review of previous steps, new content, and some quick motivational tips usually surrounding "healthy choices".

What do all these terms mean?

I'll break it down like this:

Module = A fancy way of saying class.

Livestream = Something that is being broadcast online in real time, or Not previously recorded.

Author = The lead instructor pertaining to the video you are watching.

Catalog = The video library, or all the videos on the site.

Collection = Playlist

What are filters and how do I use them?

Filters are quick ways to sift through all the different videos and if used properly will make your life much easier. The best way to use them is in the order that they appear. First select a category or type of dance, then choose a grade level and that should narrow it down. If you enjoyed a particular instructor, you can search for other lessons by that instructor by choosing the Author filter. and finally if you would rather search for lessons based on difficulty that is also an option.
